BEREA, Ohio — The Ohio Turnpike and Infrastructure Commission announced it's closing the I-80 west offramp at Toll Plaza in Lorain County on April 9. 

The closure will allow ODOT to continue work on turnpike bridges over the offramp and Lorain road. 

ODOT said the westbound and eastbound onramps and the eastbound offramp at Toll Plaza 152 will remain open. 

There will be detour signs posted on the toll road for Toll Plaza 152. Motorists can exit at Toll Plaza 161 (Strongsville-Cleveland) to I071 north to I-480 west and exit at Lorain Road.

The westbound offramp is set to reopen on Aug. 1.
