COLUMBUS, Ohio — From March 6-8, the Ohio State Highway Patrol worked with other members of the 6-State Trooper Project in removing drugs and illegal weapons from communities.

In an OSHP press release, officials confirmed 37 people were arrested for drugs and 13 for violations related to illegal weapons in Ohio. Other participating agencies included Indiana State Police, Kentucky State Police, Michigan State Police, Pennsylvania State Police and West Virginia State Police.

In total, there were 343 drug arrests and 78 illegal weapons violation arrests.

“The 6-State Trooper Project is a multi-state law enforcement partnership aimed at providing combined and coordinated law enforcement and security services in the areas of highway safety, criminal patrol and intelligence sharing,” the release reads.
