In the City of Rancho Palos Verdes, areas like the Portuguese Bend Community Association have been without power and gas as dozens of homeowners have been impacted by ongoing land movement in the area.

The recent storm left many of those homeowners on edge, hoping to see less water in the area. Prior to the storm, the city lined three canyons with pond liners, filled fissures and installed deep dewatering wells to slow land movement in the area.

As of Friday, City Manager Ara Mihranian said there have been no reports of significant damage from the storm.
