Strong winds could lead to downed tree limbs and power outages.

What You Need To Know

  • A cold front moves through as winds pick up

  • Wind alerts cover most of the state

  • Colder and drier air moves in late Saturday and into Sunday morning

Our concerns now shift towards the winds. We could see wind damage from gusty winds even without storms.

Winds Advisories are in effect for most of the state, but we also have High Wind Warnings for central Ohio toward Lake Erie.

Gusts could reach up to 50 mph at times, but if you're in the High Wind Warning, gusts could reach closer to 60 mph.

If you have to drive today, take extra precautions. Winds could knock down trees, tree limbs and power lines.

We could also deal with power outages, so make sure to have extra batteries and flashlights just in case.

We'll also see a big change in temperatures. Temperatures will fall from the 60s from the start of the day to the 40s in the afternoon.

By tonight, our lows will drop to the 20s. Have extra blankets ready.
