NEW ORLEANS, L.A. - The Clemson Tigers were well represented on the field at Ceasar's Superdome on Sunday night. Three former tigers who play for the Eagles; Will Shipley, KJ Henry and Jeremiah Trotter Jr got the sweet taste of victory.

However, it was someone on the losing team that in fact joined an exclusive Clemson club. DeAndre Hopkins' touchdown grab late in the game made him just the third former tiger to score in the Super Bowl.

The other two men to do that are Tee Higgins, who has the record for most scores in the big game. He caught not one but two touchdowns three years ago for the Cincinnati Bengals in a loss to the Los Angeles Rams.

The lone player to win in his effort is probably the most memorable, William "The Refrigerator" Perry. Ironically, his play happened in the same building 39 years earlier.

Hopkins had a quiet night for the struggling Chiefs as he only caught two passes on five targets. One of those drops was on a wide open play that brought his teammate Chris Jones to his knees on the sideline. Hopkins was able to pull down an impressive two-point conversion later in the fourth in what turned out to be the final points of the game.

Hopkins, a native of Central, South Carolina, joined Kansas City midway through the season after he was traded from the Tennessee Titans, landing on a true contender. In his time wearing the red and gold, 'D-Hop' scored five touchdowns in ten games.
