The Clippers opened their season this past weekend as they played against the St. Paul Saints in Minnesota. The first game was postponed because of wet grounds and the other two scheduled games saw the Saints come out victorious. The Clippers will now come home for a six-game series against Omaha.

Being the Triple-A affiliate of the Cleveland Guardians, eight Clippers have already played in the MLB. This includes Myles Straw, who is beginning the season in Columbus after playing the last two seasons with Cleveland.

Roaming the outfield with Straw will be another highly rated prospect, Johnathan Rodriguez, who showed his power last season by hitting 26 doubles, 29 home runs with 88 runs batted in combined between Double-A and Triple-A. Free agent Lorenzo Cedrola is one of six Clippers new to the Guardians organization in 2024.

For their home opener, the Clippers are hosting “Tansky Tuesday Dime-A-Dog Night” featuring ten cent hot dogs available throughout the game. For more information on their promotional schedule, visit their website.
