Gahanna went out a winner in the final game at its current stadium, with a 9-7 victory over visiting Mason. 

The Lions defense was the defense, with constant pressure on the Comets offense. A third quarter safety, thanks to a Gahanna sack in the end zone was the game’s only points through three quarters.

The teams traded touchdowns in the fourth, but when the Lions recovered an onside kick with a little over a minute remaining, the win was sealed.
