TOLEDO, Ohio — Have you ever seen a public artwork, whether it’s a statue or a mural or something else, and wanted to know more about the piece?

Unlike museums, public art doesn’t always have a plaque next to the piece telling you the author and history of it. However, in Toledo, that’s changing thanks to a new digital public arts guide launched by The Arts Commission.

The organization announced the digital guide, which offers a live map, audio descriptions about the art and even guided tours downtown and in the botanical gardens.

The guide is through Bloomberg Connects. You can access the free resource as a mobile app or via the website.
