TOLEDO, Ohio — Making utility payments in the City of Toledo is now just a bit easier, as the city announced a new Department of Public Utilities payment kiosk during a ribbon cutting Thursday.
The kiosk can be found at Madison Avenue and St. Clair Street. You can pay at the kiosk using a credit/debit card, with cash or even by check. Paying customers will also receive a receipt.
Cindy Geronimo, the city’s commissioner of utilities administration, said in a video posted to social media by the city that they’re glad to offer various payment options for customers and are excited that people are using it.
She said they’ve seen a decline in their in-person walk-in centers. Starting May 9, they’ll be transitioning the payment walk-in center to a customer resource center.
Additionally, Geronimo said they’re looking to retire the mail drop box.
There is another kiosk located in the police station in Scott Park. Both kiosks are available 24/7, and there are no extra fees for using. The payment will be posted immediately the next day.
“So, we just want to encourage everybody to use the new options that are available,” she said. “I’m super proud to be part of a team that continues to improve the utility and to provide great customer service.”
