Arlington
A series of events Jan. 17-20 fall within this year’s theme, “Advancing the Dream: 4-Day Celebration.”

Dallas
MLK Parade
The 43rd Annual MLK Day Parade in Dallas will be held Saturday, Jan. 18 at 10 a.m. starting at the Fair Park Pennsylvania entrance.
The parade will feature approximately 250 entries from various community organizations, church groups, youth groups, nonprofit organizations, band/drill teams, colorful floats and more.
The parade is sponsored by H.E.L.P. in collaboration with the City of Dallas.
Denton
MLK Parade
Denton’s Martin Luther King Jr. parade will be held on Jan. 20 starting from Fred Moore Park at 9 a.m. up to the Martin Luther King Jr. Recreation Center. The parade will be followed by flag football, among other activities.
Fort Worth
MLK Parade & Rally
The 40th Annual MLK Parade and Rally in downtown Fort Worth will be held on Monday, Jan 20. The parade route starts at the corner of 9th and Commerce at 11 a.m.
The parade and rally will highlight community unity, the living hope of Dr. King’s Dream, and a commitment to justice for all humankind, according to the parade organizers.
Austin
MLK Jr. Freedom Run
Lace up your running shoes to commemorate Martin Luther King Jr. with a freedom run. It starts at 7:30 a.m. at Richard Moya Park. All paces and ages are welcome.
MLK Day March & Festival
UPDATE: Due to wintry weather conditions, the Austin Area Heritage Council has canceled the MLK Day march. The festival at Huston-Tillotson University will still take place but has been postponed to Saturday, Feb. 1 from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.
The family-friendly festival will include various vendors and local musical artists.
San Antonio
MLK Day March
The 38th Annual Martin Luther King, Jr. March and Celebration will take place on Monday, Jan. 20, 2025 at 10 a.m.
The march will kickoff at the Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Academy, followed by the park celebration at Pittman-Sullivan Park.
The park celebration will include performances, youth area, vendors and a health and wellness area.
