WORCESTER, Mass. - Sports teaches us a lot about teamwork, and the Worcester Bravehearts and Worcester Red Sox are demonstrating great teamwork in partnering to host the Futures Collegiate Baseball League All-Star game, July 22 at Polar Park, the home of the Boston Red Sox AAA affiliate.
It will be a dream day for the FCBL All-Stars getting to play on that field and use the clubhouse, just feel like a professional.
"Yeah, it's very cool, you know, growing up as a kid I'm pretty sure everyone who plays here (Bravehearts) would dream to be a professional baseball player even just for a day or two days," said Bravehearts pitcher Brady Stuart. "Having this experience, it almost feels like you're a professional, so being able to be recognized at an All-Star game and also have that feeling that it's a professional atmosphere is very cool."
"Of course, you know, growing up in New England, obviously the Red Sox are such a huge deal and being able for these players to come out and play in front of a bunch of fans in a professional stadium it's really cool," added Bravehearts manager Luke Beckstein. "We grow up wanting to play in an atmosphere like this, so it's awesome for these guys to work really hard and see their hard work pay off."
