There's always plenty to do in Ohio over the weekend, but Spectrum News 1 gathered some of the highlights around each major metropolitan area across the state.
Here's some of this weekend's events:
Cleveland
- When and where: 5 to 9 p.m. on Nov. 23 at Landerhave, located at 6111 Landerhaven Drive in Mayfield Heights
- Cost: Tickets are $65
- Info: This event boasts more than 50 types of cheese and wine as well as many chocolate vendors
2024 Crocker Park Tree Lighting Ceremony
- When and where: 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Nov. 23 at Crocker Park, located at 177 Market St. in Westlake
- Info: The block party begins at 4 p.m. with food trucks, carolers, music and more. Santa will arrive at 7 p.m. for the official tree lighting
Columbus
- When and where: 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Nov. 23 and 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Nov. 24 at the Lausche Building at the Ohio Expo Center, located at 717 E. 17th Ave. in Columbus
- Cost: Admission is $7
- Info: This holiday market allows visitors to shop for the season across 150 different vendors
Holiday Tree Lighting Celebration
- When and where: 3 to 6 p.m. Nov. 24 at Market Square, located at 200 Market St. in New Albany
- Cost: Admission is free
- Info: In addition to the mayor lighting the tree at 5:25 p.m. there's plenty to see from a drone light show to face painting, axe throwing and more
Cincinnati
- When and where: Nov. 21 through Jan. 5 at the Cincinnati Zoo. Times vary, see website for details
- Info: Check out the lighted lantern displays at the 42nd annual event, which include visits with Santa at Santa's Village at 4 p.m. until Dec. 23
- When and where: 1 p.m. on Nov. 24 at Nine Giant Fermentorium, located at 6111 Ridge Ave. in Cincinnati
- Cost: Tickets are $35
- Info: Painting can be relaxing by itself, but this 21-and-up event will let you unwind even more with a drink alongside the lesson
Dayton
- When and where: 12 to 3 p.m. Nov. 23 at Forest Field and Bill Teck Parks in Dayton
- Info: You can participate in either a 3.1-mile adventure hike or a 1-mile walk on paved surface to find "missing" turkeys as part of this Dayton Children's Hospital event
Christmas in historic Springboro
- When and where: Nov. 22 through 24 in downtown historic Springboro. Times vary, see website for details
- Info: Check out craft and food vendors, watch a parade and even participate at this 3-day celebration
Toledo
Afternoon Tea Party by the Northwest Ohio Teen Book Festival
- When and where: 12 to 2 p.m. Nov. 23 at the W.W. Knight Nature Preserve, located at 29530 White Road in Perrysburg
- Cost: Ticket prices vary by age, see website for details
- Info: Try some tea, sandwhiches and baked goods at this event hosted by the Northwest Ohio Teen Book Festival where attendees can also make their own flower arrangements
- When and where: Various slots available between 12 and 6 p.m. Nov. 24 at Callisto Terra, located at 5223 Hill Ave. in Toledo
- Cost: $40 per person
- Info: Make your own candles at this workshop with a focus on coffee scents, open to anyone 10 and older
