CLEVELAND — Cleveland Hopkins International Airport's passenger count declined this October compared to October 2023.
This October, Cleveland Hopkins welcomed 848,460 passengers, which is a decrease of 7.3% from last October.
Despite this, the airport said it is still on track to top 10,000,000 passengers this year.
“Despite October coming in a bit lower than anticipated, we are still gearing up for a busy holiday travel season to close out the year,” said Bryant Francis, director of Port Control. “Airport staff and partners are preparing for a stress-free and memorable experience for our guests arriving in and departing from Cleveland this holiday season.”
Cleveland Hopkins has previously released tips to make traveling during the holidays a little easier. These include:
- Arriving at least two hours before scheduled departments
- Check its website for flight status, airline contact information, airport parking status and checkpoint wait times
- Use the website for advance check-in and to print boarding passes up to 24 hours before departure
Additionally, a list of parking options can be found here.
At least for Thanksgiving, the American Automobile Association said records will likely be broken with more than 80 million Americans expected to travel for the holiday. At least 5.8 million plan to travel by plane, which is more than last year.
