The game was played in honor of the fallen officers in Cleveland this past year, including Cleveland police officer Jamieson Ritter and Euclid Police officer Jacob Derbin.

"We do a tournament every February where we support the families of our fallen firefighters, and we have a lot of police that play with us, and so we felt it was only fitting to pay it forward and do an event for our heroes in blue on the police side," said Jake Konys, president of the Association of Cleveland Firefighters Local 93.

A portion of proceeds from some tickets and event T-shirts were donated to the fallen officers' families.

"Our first responders go out every day and put their lives on the line for the public," said Andrew Gasiewski, president of the Cleveland Police Patrolmen's Association.
