OHIO — On Tuesday, Nov. 5, Ohioans will cast their votes through the general election ballot. The polls will open at 6:30 a.m. and close at 7:30 p.m.
Here’s what voters need to bring to the polls.
- Ohio driver's license
- State of Ohio ID card
- Interim ID form issued by the Ohio BMV
- A U.S. passport
- A U.S. passport card
- U.S. military ID card
- Ohio National Guard ID card
- U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs ID card
- A photograph of the voter
- A valid expiration date that is not past election day
- The voter's name should match the name on the Poll List or Poll Book
- Ohio voters are allowed to present an Ohio driver’s license, state ID card or interim documentation showing their previous address, as long as their current address is listed in the pollbook.
- If a voter changes their name and shows proof of the legal name change, fills out and signs Form 10-L and is registered in the precinct, the name on their ID may differ from from the voter’s reported change of name.
- According to the Ohio Secretary of State, voters who forget their ID on Election Day can still cast a provisional ballot, but it needs to be returned to the board of elections within four days along with a qualifying form of ID for it to be counted.
