SCIOTO COUNTY, Ohio — Ohio State Highway Patrol recently seized 90 grams of cocaine during a traffic stop in Scioto County on Sunday.

The stop occurred around 11 p.m. on Nov. 3, when troopers stopped a 2022 Chevy Malibu with a Tennessee registration on State Route 348 for a marked lanes violation. The driver, Davion Black of Dayton, interacted with the officers when they observed drug residue and a firearm inside the vehicle.

Officers performed a plain view search and 90 grams of cocaine, worth approximately $8,100, and a firearm were taken from the vehicle.

Black was arrested and taken to Scioto County Jail on charges of possession of drugs, cocaine, a first-degree felony, and having weapons under disability, a third degree felony. If convicted, Black could face up to 14 years in prison and a $30,000 fine.
