CINCINNATI, Ohio — FC Cincinnati Midfielder Marco Angulo, 22, has been hospitalized after an automobile accident in Ecuador, the team announced Monday.
In a social media post Monday, the team says he is being care for by medical professionals.
“Our thoughts are with him and his family as we hope for his recovery, and our hearts go out to the families of the deceased and those injured in this tragic accident," the team's statement reads.
Angulo, who was born in Ecuador, was acquired by FC Cincinnati from Independiente de Valle of the Ecuadorian Liga Pro in 2022, on contract through the 2025 season.
