There were 10 suspected overdose deaths from Sept. 20 to Sept. 26, pending toxicology confirmation, according to the Hamilton County Coroner's Office.

"In light of these findings, it is crucial to prioritize community education on harm reduction practices. We must emphasize the importance of avoiding solitary use, calling 911 in the event of an overdose, and recognizing that any non-prescription drug not obtained from a doctor or pharmacy could potentially contain fentanyl," the coalition wrote in a release.

In addition, the coalition said there's been a jump in overdose-related 911 calls in the county.

The coalition said it believes the uptick is coming from people consuming substances that they don't know have been laced with fentanyl, using drugs alone or not using "hard-reduction strategies."

Narcan, which contains the opioid overdose-reversal drug naloxone, as well as safe injection supplies and fentanyl test strips can be obtained by calling 513-316-7725, the coalition said. People can also text "NARCAN" or "FTS" to 844-743-4081.
