CLEVELAND — The Cuyahoga County Animal Shelter is seeking potential pet parents this weekend.

The shelter is offering $20 adoption fees through Sunday, Sept. 29 because of a recent intake of dogs and concerns of hitting critical capacity.

“The flow of dogs coming into the shelter has really spiked in recent weeks and we need the community help by either adopting or fostering a shelter dog,” said Animal Shelter Administrator Mindy Naticchioni.

Normally adoption fees are $95, and the lower fees will last through Sunday in the shelter's "Fall Fur Me" adoption promotion. All adult dogs are included within the promotion. The shelter is also asking for foster parents to help make space.

Adoption fees include spay, or neuter, services, vaccines, a 2024 dog licenses, a microchip and a current rabies tag.
