OHIO — Fall colors are starting to show, and the Ohio Department of Natural Resources is hosting hikes to encourage residents to take in the scenery.

“Fall is the perfect time to get outside, enjoy the cooler weather, and take in the beauty of Ohio’s changing leaves,” said ODNR Director Mary Mertz in a release. “Whether you’re hiking through a forest, around a lake, or up a scenic overlook, the season offers countless opportunities for adventure, relaxation and fun in our state parks.”

ODNR said there are 76 state parks with many trails, from family-friendly paths to more challenging terrain.

Below is a list of hikes with dates, times and locations for people to meet. ODNR warned the events are weather dependent, so plan ahead and double check closer to the dates.
