SUMMIT COUNTY, Ohio — Summit County Metro Parks announced several closures following severe flooding Thursday night.

Sand Run Parkway is closed because of high water. The Oxbow Area and Valley View Area of Cascade Valley Metro Park, including Himelright Lodge and river front, are closed because of downed power lines.

The Towpath Trail in Clinton, Clinton Trailhead and Buttonbush Trail in Liberty Park are closed because of flooding.

Goodpark and Mud Run golf courses are also closed due to standing water according to Akron Mayor Shammas Malik.
