DAYTON, Ohio — Dayton is asking residents to fill out a survey to help maintain its "Bicycle Friendly" status.

In 2010, Dayton earned a bronze-level status. Last year, the city developed and adopted the Dayton's Active Transportation Plan, which called for the renewal and possibly the expansion of its Bicycle Friendly status.

The designation is through the League of American Bicyclists.

"Bicycling is more than a practical, cost-effective solution to many municipal challenges. It’s an opportunity to make your community a vibrant destination for residents and visitors — a place where people don’t just live and work, but thrive," the league states on its website.

The City of Dayton is asking the community to fill out a survey, which gives feedback about bike transportation and safety around the city.

The survey can be found here. It'll be available until Oct. 15.
