OHIO — With a little over four months left before Election Day, Secretary of State Frank LaRose has begun urging Ohio voters to start making a plan ahead of Nov. 5.

LaRose said every eligible Ohioan should know how, when and where to cast their ballot.

“That starts with having a trusted source of election information. It might be your county board of elections or the VoteOhio.gov website maintained by our office, but it’s important to make sure you double-check key info such as your polling location, your voting hours and what identification you need to show when you vote," LaRose said in a news release. "It’s also helpful to plan ahead and decide whether you want to vote early by mail, early in person or at the polls on Election Day. Now is the time to start preparing.”

The voter registration deadline is Oct. 8, register or update your registration by clicking here.

Military and Overseas Absentee voting begins on Sept. 20, 2024. For more information, click here. Regular absentee and early, in-person voting begins on Oct. 8. To request an absentee ballot, click here.

Absentee ballots, being mailed to local boards of election, must be postmarked by Nov. 4.

On Election Day, Nov. 5, polls open at 6:30 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. Polling locations can be found here.
