CUYAHOGA FALLS, Ohio — Those heading to Blossom Music Center soon may want to plan their trip, as a popular bridge in Cuyahoga Falls is closed for the rest of the summer.

The Steels Corners Bridge eastbound has been closed on E. Steels Corners Road West of the State Route 8 interchange. The Summit County Engineer's website states the closure is to allow crews to replace bridge expansion joints, overlay the bridge deck with concrete and more.

Westbound lanes will be open on East Steels Corners Road, and the eastbound traffic will be detoured north to Seasons Road. Additionally, Route 8 southbound can be reached by going to Wyoga Lake Road and Graham Road. Crews said access to homes and businesses will remain open during the construction period.

The route is not only popular for residents, but also for those attending Blossom Music Center, who head southbound after a show. The Summit County Engineer website said detours will be posted. The bridge will be closed for about three months.
