COLUMBUS, Ohio — Zoombezi Bay will participate in the World's Largest Swimming Lesson, which combines the world's top water safety and training organizations to raise awareness of the importance of teaching kids how to swim. 

Zoombezi Bay will be a location for the event which will be held 10 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. on Thursday at the Wild Tides Wave Pool. It's the water park's 15th year participating in the event. 

Hundreds of locations across the globe will offer 30-minute swimming lessons for children ages 2 through 10 years old. All the locations will collectively attempt to break the Guinness World Record for the largest swimming lesson conducted at multiple locations. 

Participants will pay $18, which includes access to the water park after the lesson, as well as the Columbus Zoo and Aquarium. Registration and check-ins begin at the Zoombezi Bay Season Pass entrance at 9:15 a.m. Preregistration is encouraged, but not required. More information can be found on Zoombezi Bay's website.
