YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio — The Youngstown Fire Department has given downtown an "all clear" after a natural gas odor blanketed the city shortly after 1 p.m.

The odor prompted multiple buildings in downtown to evacuate, including at Youngstown State University.

The cause of the odor hasn't been identified.

Last month, an explosion at a bank/apartment building in downtown Youngstown killed one person and injured seven others. A cut natural gas line was found in the basement of the building, but it wasn't known if that played a role in the blast.

This is a developing story. Check back later for updates.
