OHIO — Many people plan to travel this summer for a getaway, but for others, staying in the area they live may help with costs.

Wallethub, a personal finance website, ranked the best and worst cities for a "staycation," and one Ohio city made the top 10.

The website compared 182 U.S. cities, which included the 150 most populated cities, plus at least two of the most populated cities in each state. Each city was ranked based on three categories: recreation, food and entertainment, and rest and relaxation.

Here are the top 10 cities deemed the best for a staycation:

  1. Orlando
  2. Honolulu
  3. Cincinnati
  4. Las Vegas, Nev.
  5. Tampa, Fla.
  6. Chicago, Ill.
  7. San Diego, Calif.
  8. Atlanta, Ga.
  9. New Orleans, La.
  10. Tucson, Ariz.

Here's how other Ohio cities placed:

  • Columbus: No. 50
  • Cleveland: No. 57
  • Akron: No. 75
  • Toledo: No. 93

The study also compared the best swimming pools per capita, in which Cleveland took the top spot in that category. Additionally, in the zoos and aquariums per capita category, Columbus ranked among the lowest.
