CLEVELAND — Cleveland officials said City Hall and Erieview will reopen at 11 a.m. Wednesday, following a "cyber incident" that closed the buildings both Monday and Tuesday.
Details surrounding the cyber incident, including its nature and scope, haven't been discussed by city officials, as to not interfere with the investigation.
"We are committed to continuously providing updates as soon as they are available. We will not be releasing any details that may compromise the ongoing investigation of this incident," city officials said in a statement.
The city had to shut down affected systems and focus on safely securing and restoring purposes. However, city and emergency services, including the the Department of Public Safety (911, Police, Fire and EMS), the Department of Port Control (Cleveland Hopkins and Burke Lakefront Airports), Department of Public Utilities (Water, Water Pollution Control and Cleveland Public Power) were not affected.
