COLUMBUS, Ohio — More than 100,000 people will gravitate to the capital city this weekend for the annual Columbus Asian Festival.

In its 30th year, the free two-day festival showcases the continent's cultures with dancing, art, music and food. Performers this year include K-Sori Korean Drum Team, the Columbus Waterlily Dance Group, Chinese folk dancer Amy Ho, the Nepali Cultural Dance Club and more.

This year, it'll take place Saturday from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. and Sunday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. at Franklin Park, which is at 1777 E. Broad St. 

Organizers said with many people coming for the festival, here are some good places to park:

  • Wolfe Park, 105 Park Dr. (accessible parking recommended)
  • St. Charles Preparatory School, 2010 E. Broad St. (accessible parking recommended)
  • East High School, 1500 E. Broad St.
  • Ohio State East Hospital, 181 Taylor Ave. 
  • Ohio State Outpatient Care East, 543 Taylor Ave.

In addition, there is a shuttle that's free and will pick up people in the parking lots at the locations above. 

Organizers urge visitors not to park on the streets surrounding Franklin Park, as it's possible to get a ticket or be towed.
