BRIMFIELD, Ohio — A tornado touched down in Brimfield, Ohio in Portage County on Saturday, according to the National Weather Service.

NWS rated the tornado an EF-0 with a maximum wind speed of 65 mph. The path width was about 10 yards and traveled for a little over a quarter of a mile. 

The tornado touched down around 2:42 p.m. near an industrial building parking lot on Sunnybrrok Road, north of Old Forge Road, according to NWS. The tornado ended up crossing Sunnybrook Road and into a golf course, producing tree damage and also dislodged tiles on a footbridge. It lifted soon after. 

Ohio has had more than 50 confirmed tornadoes this year.
