COLUMBUS, Ohio — As part of its new terminal construction project, the board of directors of the Columbus Regional Airport Authority has also approved construction of a new nearly $180 million parking garage at the John Glenn Columbus International Airport.
The new garage will include 5,000 spaces and will be connected via pedestrian bridge to the rental car facility and the new terminal, according to the resolution that was adopted by the board of directors on April 30.
CK Construction Group, Inc., out of Westerville, will be handling the design and construction of the multi-level garage. The exact cost of the project is $178,837,160.00.
According to an airport spokesperson, the garage will also include 100 EV charging stations. The spokesperson also stated that the Columbus Regional Airport Authority established a “Diversity Business Partner goal of 15% for the garage project and CK has committed to 20% DBP participation.”
The airport has already received approval for the $2 billion, 36-gate terminal project, which is expected to officially open in 2029.
