Former Syracuse forward Maliq Brown will play for Duke next season, he announced on social media Saturday.
Brown, who was named to the ACC all-defensive team, played a critical role for the Orange, taking over the starting center spot when Naheem McLeod went out for the season with an injury.
The Virginia native averaged 9.5 points and 7.2 rebounds per game this season, and shined on defense by picking up 71 steals over the course of the season.
Syracuse and Duke will square off next season in the JMA Wireless Dome.
