COLUMBUS, Ohio — The evacuation order from Columbus Police and Columbus Fire was lifted around 10:30 a.m. Thursday following evacuations of businesses, residents and road closures.

A hazmat incident of a truck carrying lithium batteries that caught fire lead to the orders being given.

"Thanks to the hard work of the Columbus Division of Fire, this situation is contained, and the evacuation order has been lifted," Columbus Police said in a Facebook post. "Those individuals who were evacuated can return to their residences."

The situation shut down multiple roads and ramps, including: McKinley Avenue at Grandview Avenue, all ramps to 670 Eastbound and 670 Westbound and the West Broad Street exit ramp onto 70 west.

Grandview Avenue traffic remains northbound only from I-670 at this time.

Grandview Heights Police Department is handling the law enforcement investigation.
