OHIO — Rock band Cage the Elephant announced a new album on Thursday and a 45-city tour, with two stops set for Ohio. 

The album "Neon Pill" comes out on May 17, and on the same day, the tour kicks off at the Hangout Music Festival in Alabama. 

On Aug. 30, they'll first hit Cincinnati at the PNC Pavillion at Riverbend Music Center. Then on Sept. 9, they'll stop in northeast Ohio at the Blossom Music Center. Both concerts will also feature Young the Giant and Bakar. 

Cage the Elephant, which formed in Bowling Green, Ky., will have six studio albums, including "Neon Pill." The band won two Grammy Awards in the past for Best Rock Album for two of those albums: Tell Me I'm Pretty and Social Cues. 

Presales for tickets open on Tuesday, March 5 at 10 a.m. Tickets open to the general public on Friday, March 8 at 10 a.m.
