CLEVELAND — Cleveland Clinic has been ranked the number two hospital in the world by Newsweek in what is now the sixth year in a row, according to a press release from the hospital.

The main hospital in Cleveland wasn’t the only Cleveland Clinic to be ranked in this list of 250. Coming in at 186 is Cleveland Clinic Abu Dhabi, which also ranked first in the United Arab Emirates. Cleveland Clinic Fairview came in at 232. Just above Cleveland Clinic, sitting at number one on the list, is the Mayo Clinic - Rochester in Minnesota. Just below, at number three, is Toronto General - University Health Network in Toronto, Canada.

On the list of best hospitals in the U.S., Cleveland Clinic was ranked six times:

  • Cleveland Clinic Weston Hospital – 45
  • Cleveland Clinic Akron General Hospital – 93
  • Cleveland Clinic Hillcrest Hospital – 112

The rankings, according to the release are based on online surveys from thousands of medical experts, patient surveys, quality metrics and patient reported outcome measures, “which are completed by patients to measure their perception of functional well-being and quality of life.”
