A 3.0 earthquake was identified about three miles outside of Jackson Center, Ohio, at 12:27 a.m. Saturday, according to the United States Geological Survey.

Earthquakes falling within the range of 2.5 to 5.4, according to Michigan Tech’s earthquake magnitude scale, only cause minor damage but are often felt.

Jackson Center is a village in Shelby County. It is west of Columbus and north of Dayton.
