COLUMBUS, Ohio — Ohio State quarterback Kyle McCord entered the transfer portal early Monday morning, joining several other Buckeye players who entered alongside him.
The other players who entered the transfer portal Monday were safeties Cameron Martinez, Kye Stokes and cornerback Ryan Turner.
McCord had 3,170 passing yards with 24 touchdown passes and six interceptions, while completing 65.8% of his passes. McCord eclipsed 300 passing yards three times but also twice threw two interceptions, including in the regular-season finale, a 30-24 loss to Michigan.
With the Buckeyes’ starting quarterback entering the transfer portal, they will have to look to their roster for a signal caller for the Goodyear Cotton Bowl. According to ESPN, two other players have thrown passes for the Buckeyes’ this year, Sophomore Devin Brown and Freshman Lincoln Kienholz. Early signs point to Brown as the starter against Missouri, but Head Coach Ryan Day has not named a starter.
