What You Need To Know

  • Highball Halloween has been called the nation's most elaborate costume party

  • Around 10,000 people will fill High Street in Columbus on Saturday

  • What makes this event so special is the costume couture fashion show featuring local designers

"And it is absolutely the most fantastic celebration of creativity of fashion and of our very special community here in the Short North arts district," said Betsy Pandora, Executive Director of the Short North Alliance.

Highball Halloween has been called the nation's most elaborate costume party, around 10,000 people will fill High Street in Columbus on Saturday to “see and be seen” at the event, now in its 16th year.

"People come from all over the state to experience Halloween the way that we do it. It's a little bit like Mardi Gras. It's a little bit like Carnegie Hall, but it has an incredible amount of high fashion that takes over High street," said Pandora.

What makes this event so special is the costume couture fashion show featuring local designers.

"Some of them are traditional fashion designers. Some of them are costume designers. Of all of them are some of the most creative people that you will find around and they come and explore their creativity by designing of the over the top couture style Halloween costumes that truly excite and surprise people whenever they come and experience them," said Pandora.
