Alexa Maslowski is an anchor and reporter at Spectrum News 1 Ohio. 

Alexa was born in Cleveland and attended Kent State University where she earned a degree in Broadcast Journalism. She also led the school’s student-run TV station, TV2, as News Director, where she managed department leaders and directed news content.

Alexa began her career in Portland, Maine as a multimedia journalist for WGME-TV, covering key community issues. She also served as backup news anchor for morning and weekend newscasts.

In 2019, she started at Spectrum News as a multimedia journalist covering northeast Ohio. She transitioned into serving as a live reporter for developing news coverage and working as anchor for Morning Headline News. Her reporting focuses on mental health issues and medical professional-recommended solutions, which is a topic she feels passionate about and prides herself on.

When she’s not at work, you can find her exercising, walking her dogs, cooking, reading, and spending time with friends and family.
