OHIO — Spectrum News 1 and The Columbus Dispatch will be holding a forum on Issue 2, the recreational marijuana measure that will be on the Nov. 7 ballot.

If Issue 2 passes, the measure would allow Ohioans age 21 and older could grow up to six plants individually, having no more than 12 in a household with multiple adults and buy and possess 2.5 ounces of cannabis and 15 grams of concentrates.

The measure would also have products taxed 10% with revenue going toward administrative costs, addiction treatment programs, municipalities with dispensaries and a social equity and jobs program.

The forum will be before a live audience at Otterbein University on Wednesday, Oct. 4 from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m. in the Battelle Fine Arts Center, Riley Auditorium, at 170 West Park St. The forum will air Oct. 8 on Spectrum News 1 and later on The Columbus Dispatch website.

Spectrum News 1's Curtis Jackson will moderate the forum. Panelists include: Issue 2 supporters Rep. Casey Weinstein, D-Hudson, and Thomas Haren, partner and cannabis practice chair at Frantz Ward LLP. The panel will also include Issue 2 opponents state Sen. Mark Romanchuk, R-Ontario, and Corinne LaMarca, director of development and national spokesperson for Parents Opposed To Pot.
