Police sent a statewide Amber alert early Tuesday morning for 5-month-olds Kyair and Kason Thomas, who were in the back of a running car in the Short North when Jackson stole the car around 9:45 p.m. Monday.
Their mother walked into the Donatos location at East 1st Avenue and North High Street, but said once she turned around after entering the store, her four-door 2010 Honda Accord was gone, along with the boys.
Police found Kyair at the Dayton International Airport hours later Tuesday and he has been reunited with his family.
CPD Chief Elaine Bryant said Indianapolis police found Jackson around 2 p.m., and she was positively identified through fingerprints. However, Kason was not with Jackson at the time of her arrest.
Bryant later confirmed in a statement that Kason had been found alive near a Papa John's in Indianapolis. He was found in the stolen car wearing the same clothes he was taken in. Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department officials said he was found at 6:46 p.m. and taken to nearby Riley Hospital to be evaluated.
As for Jackson, Bryant said Indianapolis police are continuing to question her, and three CPD detectives are on their way to Indianapolis.
Police sent out Be On The Lookout (BOLO) alerts to surrounding states early Wednesday in an effort to find Jackson.
