On Monday afternoon, Ryan spent time in Summit County meeting with voters at the United Steel Workers in Akron.

Later on in the evening, he has another stop in Youngstown.

He's continuing to work to get voters who cast Republican ballots in the last presidential election to cross over and support his moderate agenda, Ryan said. His focus is on working-class voters.

"We have entered a phase here where in the first time in U.S., history rights are taken away like they were for women," Ryan said. "And you know we have issues of climate, issues of what’s the job market look like for young people moving forward — what’s the country look like?"

For voter Kayla Fisher, she said while every election is important, she feels this one is gaining much more motivation and attention.

"I feel like this election is one of the first elections that we’re seeing so much motivation in the voters and we’re seeing so much dedication by the candidates, and I feel like we’re at a really good point where everyone is putting everything they can into it and the least we can do is show up and show out," Fisher said.

Tuesday is another full day of canvassing for Ryan, and he will continue to encourage voters to hit the polls. Ryan said he's doing what he can and looking forward to the finish line.
