COLUMBUS, Ohio — Gov. Mike DeWine and Lt. Gov. Jon Husted announced approval for seven projects, which will create 660 new jobs and retain 3,333 jobs across the state.

The Ohio Tax Credit Authority reviewed economic development proposals brought by Jobs Ohio and regional partners during its monthly meeting. The seven projects are expected to result in more than $39 million in new payroll and spur more than $51.8 million in investments.

In the northeast, the Berkshire Refrigerated Warehousing LLC project in Sheffield is expected to create 90 full-time positions. The Berkshire Refrigerated project is expected to generate $5 million in new annual payroll. Berkshire Refrigerated provides non-contract refrigerated warehousing and storage services and storage for both refrigerated and frozen foods.

The company also provides services for processing, preparing and packaging food for contracted companies. The TCA approved a 1.462%, eight-year Job Creation Tax Credit for this project.

In the northwest, specifically Fremont in Sandusky County, the Motion Controls Robotics Inc. project expects 18 full-time positions, generating $1.2 million in new annual payroll. Motion Controls is expected to retain $4.9 million in existing payroll because of the company's expansion in Fremont. Motion Controls manufactures manufactures robotic case packing, robotic palletizing, and machine tending.

The company also manufactures large-scale, end-of-line robotic packaging and handling systems, vision-guided systems, robotic simulation, AVG systems and intelligent robotic systems. The TCA approved a 1.198%, six-year Job Creation Tax Credit for this project.

There are three projects in the southeast in Ross County, Scioto County and Coshocton County.

Chillicothe Kenworth LLC and Roadforce Companies LLC expect to create 119 full-time positions as a result of the company's epansion in Green Township. The project expects to generate $7.5 million in new annual payroll and retain $4.8 million in existing payroll. Chillicothe Kenworth provides installation of value-addes parts and accessories to Kenworth and other heavy-duty trucks before delivery to the customer. 

The company offers customization options for end users and Roadforce Companies LLC manufactures dump truck bodies for customers. The TCA approved a 1.481%, five-year Job Creation Tax Credit for this project.

In Scioto County, Evans Food Group Ltd. expects 40 full-time positions with $1.5 million in new annual payroll and retain $4.3 million in existing payroll because of the company's new Portsmouth location. The Ohio operation of the snack food manufacturer focuses on prok rinds. The TCA approved a 1.097%, six-year Job Creation Tax Credit for this project.

In Coshocton County, McWane Inc. expects to create 50 full-time positions. The company's expansion in Coshocton will generate $2.6 million in new annual payroll and retain $31.6 million in existing payroll. The facility manufactures ductile iron piping used in underground infrastructure, as well as utility poles that are in demand in hazard-prone areas, such as wildfires or hurricanes. 

The TCA approved a 1.372%, six-year Job Creation Tax Credit for this project.

In the southwest, Cincinnati and West Chester Township both expect new projects. 

The REV4 LLC in Hamilton County expects to create 43 full-time positions generating $4.7 million in new annual payroll. REV4 provides staffing and talent services in analytics, data, and IT fields. The TCA approved a 2.000%, eight-year Job Creation Tax Credit for the new Cincinnati project.

Synchrony Bank in Butler County expects to create 300 full-time positions which will generate $16.5 million in new annual payroll and retain $182.5 million in existing payroll. analytics, data, and IT fields. The TCA approved a 2.000%, eight-year Job Creation Tax Credit for the new West Chester Township project.
