  • Ohio Basement Authority partnered with Habitat for Humanity Mid-Ohio, donating more than $100,000 and building the 83rd playhouse

"Homes are typically where people make memories and dream their dreams," Matt Wojciechowski said.

Wojciechowski is the general manager for Ohio Basement Authority.

"This gives us an opportunity to give the kids a place that they can create their own memories and just a little safe place that they can, you know, create their dreams as kids," he said.

The project's mission is two-fold, giving children a safe place to play and to dream of what home means to them and raising money that will go to building full-sized homes for families in need.

Zane Pepper is one employee involved in the project.

"We always say that this company is a customer service company, but we just happen to be in construction. We know that the home is the pivotal part in the family, so hopefully, by building this playhouse it will bring some joy, joy to the kids, and to the family," Pepper said.

Ohio Basement Authority delivered the playhouse to a family in central Ohio. Zion and his sister Braylynn were smiling from ear to ear as they posed for a photo.

"Thank you!" they said.
