CLEVELAND — Tamara McLoyd was arraigned Thursday in Cleveland on a single count of arson unrelated to the murder charges she faces relating to the New Year’s Eve death of Officer Shane Bartek.

McLoyd entered a not guilty plea on Thursday.

According to court documents, McLoyd is accused of causing damage of more than $1,000 to a 2015 Cadillac CTS on Nov. 12, 2021.

Last month, Prosecutor Michael O’Malley announced that 10 criminal counts were filed against McLoyd, including two counts of murder and two counts of aggrevated murder for the death of Bartek.

City officials said that Bartek was determined to have died in the line of duty on Dec. 31.

McLoyd is also facing charges as she was accused of participating in a pair of Cleveland-area armed robberies in early November.
