CLEVELAND — The Rock & Roll Hall of Fame announced Thursday that it will open a new exhibit this spring called "The Beatles: Get Back to Let It Be."
The exhibit will feature The Beatles’ January 1969 rehearsals, studio sessions and legendary Apple Corps rooftop concert, which was the band’s final live performance.
The Beatles have had a massive, global impact across generations. We are excited to welcome a diverse mix of fans from around the world to experience this exhibit and are grateful for the support of Paul McCartney, Ringo Starr, the estates of John Lennon and George Harrison, Apple Corps Ltd., and Peter Jackson for helping us tell this important story,” said Greg Harris, president and CEO of the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame.
Items that will be featured include:
The exhibit is meant to be a complement to Peter Jackson's docuseries, “The Beatles: Get Back.” A large part of the exhibit will showcase how The Beatles wrote and produced their music. There will be three screening rooms with footage from three locations: Twickenham, Apple Studios and the Apple Corps rooftop, which are all featured in the docuseries.
The exhibit opens March 18.
