AKRON, Ohio — Summit County Public Health announced that it will be distributing free at-home COVID-19 test kits Saturday.
According to the health department, tests will be limited to one per person.
The drive-through distribution event, which will be located at 1867 W. Market St. in Akron, will run Saturday 10 a.m. through noon or while supplies last.
The health department is also urging attendees not to arrive before 9:45 a.m and not to park over railroad tracks. Face coverings will be required.
At-home COVID-19 tests have been limited in recent weeks as cases of the virus have increased.
Saturday’s testing event is in addition to the mass COVID-19 testing site currently being operated in Akron by Summa Health and the Ohio National Guard. As of Friday afternoon, appointments were still available for Saturday.
