CLEVELAND — The Cuyahoga County Sheriff’s Office is joining with 30 agencies for the department’s seventh annual Safe Halloween event on Wednesday from 6-8 p.m.

  • The Cuyahoga County Sheriff’s Office is hosting a “Safe Halloween” event

  • Children are encouraged to wear their costumes Wednesday from 6-8 p.m. in front of the Justice Center downtown

  • More than 30 agencies will participate in the Trunk-or-Treat style event

  • Trick-or-Treat for most northeast Ohio towns is Sunday from 6-8 p.m.

The “Trunk or Treat” type event will be outside of the Justice Center in downtown Cleveland on Lakeside Avenue. Deputies and officers will hand out candy from their decorated cruisers. The Cuyahoga County Sheriff’s Office is encouraging children to come dressed in their Halloween costumes. 

The Cuyahoga County Sheriff’s Office’s K9 unit will be on hand in addition to games. 

Lakeside Avenue from Ontario Street to West Third Street will be closed. Free parking will be available in the Huntington Garage. 

Most towns in Cuyahoga County, including Cleveland, will hold Trick-or-Treat festivities Sunday from 6-8 p.m.
