HighBall Halloween will be held at EXPRESS LIVE! on the outdoor stage on Saturday. Proof of vaccination and masking is required to attend. Officials also said capacity will be limited to 4,000 to allow for increased social distancing.

HighBall Halloween bridges runway style with the culture of the Short North Arts District and organizers describe it as "the nation's most elaborate costume party" that is "staged in the fashion capital of Columbus."

Performers will include MojoFlo and The West Family, the White Castle Costume Couture Fashion Show and the Out of the Closet Public Costume Contest, officials said in a press release.

Short North Alliance Executive Director Betsy A. Pandora said the EXPRESS LIVE! outdoor stage allows organizers to follow the highest level of COVID-19 health and safety protocols.

“It’s important that HighBall Halloween returns as an in-person event this year, and more important that we execute it as safely as possible,” Pandora said.

“HighBall is such a special time for the community to celebrate creativity, diversity, and imagination. It’s also the single most impactful fundraiser for our organization, supporting the Short North Arts District’s public art, marketing, events and programs, and more, all of which support our small business community. We need all of those things more than ever, and thanks to EXPRESS LIVE! we’re able to deliver all of the above safely.”

In addition, the HighBall is requiring attendees and all those on-site to provide proof of vaccination at entry to be in line with the PromoWest Production and AEG COVID-19 protocols that went into effect Oct. 1.

Pandora said masking will be required at all times, except momentarily when actively eating or drinking.

Tickets cost $35 and $75, respectively.
