CLEVELAND — The City Club of Cleveland will host a mayoral debate between the final two candidates for mayor.

  • Kevin Kelley and Justin Bibb are invited to participate in a virtual mayoral debate Oct. 11

  • Bibb and Kelley received the most votes in this month’s primary

  • The winner of the November general election will replace Mayor Frank Jackson

  • The 90-minute debate will air live on cityclub.org

The 90-minute debate, which will be held virtually Oct. 11, starting at 7:30 p.m.

Justin Bibb, a nonprofit executive and a neophyte to elected office, and Kevin Kelley, who currently serves as Cleveland City Council president, will be invited to the debate. Bibb and Kelley received the most votes in this month’s primary that included seven contenders for the office. 

Bibb and Kelley face each other in the November General Election. The winner will replace Mayor Frank Jackson who is exiting city hall after four terms in office.

The debate will be moderated by Rick Jackson from Ideastream Public Media. Nick Castele, from Ideastream Public Media, Lawrence Caswell from Cleveland Documenters and Elizabeth McIntyre from Crain's Cleveland Business will serve as panelists. 

The debate will air live on cityclub.org.
